G & G's 70th Favours & Flowers

For my grandparents' 70th Anniversary Party, I made 100 of the jelly bean party favours to hand out to all the guests that attended.

My grandpa is known for his sweet tooth and he has always had a candy dish for us to raid when we visit them. Since the candies had to match the colours of the party, I did jelly bean bags because they were the only candy that I could find that matched the decor.

From the Heart Florist made up my grandma's corsage and my grandpa's boutinniere. They are real white roses that I used my copic air brushing system to add the teal colour to. The ink did not rub off at all.

A BIG THANK YOU goes out to From the Heart Florist. They are the flower shop that I always go to. Not just because they are just around the corner from me, but they always do a beautiful job and offer great service.

They have been helping me out during the flood. In the scrapbooking industry, if you don't pre-order new lines, you don't get them. With the store being closed due to the flood, From the Heart Florist has been accepting all of my orders for me so that I can still order the new lines in for when I open up. So, thank you very much.

G & G's 70th Anniversary Party

My mom, Amy & I put together my grandparents' 70th Open House Anniversary Party at the Oliver Road Community Centre on August 12th.

I designed the inside of my grandparents' card box, the confetti on the center pieces & the reservation signs.

I also used my copic air brushing system to add the teal colour to the fake carnations for the center pieces on the head tables. The confetti was punched out with EK Success small punches and stickles was added to the middle of the confetti flowers.

The balloons, napkins, lanterns, utensils, plates, tablecloths & plastic cups were all bought in the states at the Party America stores.

The rest of the decor were bought at Fabricland, Michaels, Dollarama and the solid coloured balloons were bought at Helium Highs. We got the cake done up at Safeways.

My grandparents 70th Anniversary photos were taken at Sears.

We had many surprise guests visit us at the Open House and my grandparents had a wonderful day.

G & G's 70th Anniversary Card

You read correctly....70th. On August 15th my grandparents had their 70th Wedding Anniversary. We celebrated it on August 12th with an Open House at the Oliver Road Community Centre. It was a great day!

I can't tell you a lot about this card like I normally do because I lost the sheet that I wrote all my supplies down on.

What I can tell you is that the patterned paper is BoBunny, the ribbon is from Stampin' Up, the twine & brads are from We R Memory Keepers, the heart pin is from a stationary store in Mall of America, the image stamp is from Stamping Bella and the sentiment stamps are from two different CTMH stamp sets.

I also used the Sophisticated Cricut Cartridge and the image was coloured in with copic markers. I think I used all the "T" copic markers for the grey colouring, but I am not 100% sure on that.

I have always wanted to try colouring an image in to look like a black & white photo and I absolutely love how this card turned out and so did my grandparents.

A little background. My grandparents' party colour was black, white & sea green with the damask design. They live in a senior's complex where they spent many warm evenings this summer on one of the benches out front of their building. My grandpa also loves birds, so this image was perfect for their card.

You're the Bees Knees

I had a lot of fun making this card for my 13 year old cousin, Emma's birthday.

I made this card on the first scrapbooking day that I had after the flood. I scrapbooked with my cousin, Brandi & my good friend Krista K. at Krista's house. It was a fabulous day!

I used Simple Stories Summer Fresh 6 x 6 paper pad with yellow cardstock "stolen" from Brandi's stash. Thank you Brandi!

To embellish the card, I used Making Memories brads, Stampin' Up Ribbon and the rosette was made with Cricut's Ribbon & Rosettes cartridge.

I used CC Designs Bumble Bella stamp, CC Designs Bees Knees Logos stamp set & one of CTMH's Font stamp sets to do the number "13".

A BIG THANK YOU goes out to Krista & Brandi for letting me use all their tools & supplies on our scrapbooking day. I am so lucky to have so many great friends.

Camping Birthday Card & Gift Bag

I made this card & matching gift bag for my friend Jennifer.

I used BoBunny's Camp-a-lot Die Cut Sheet & 6 x 6 paper pad with Bazzill cardstock.

To embellish the card, I used Stampin' Up ribbon. To embellish the gift bag, I used one of Martha Stewart's Border Punches.

The stamps I used were CTMH's Enjoy Life stamp set, CTMH's A Journey stamp set and Stampin' Up's Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set with CTMH Olive ink.

This was a very simple card to make, but I absolutely love it! The die-cuts didn't need a lot added to them, so why muck around with it.

A Thankful Heart 3 x 3 Card

I haven't made a 3 x 3 card in years and I had a lot of fun doing this one. I made four of this design for my stash.

A big thank you goes out to Danielle for loaning me her new stamps so that I could make this card. She was showing me what she just got in the mail and I fell in love with these two new stamp sets with die-cuts of hers and she loaned them to me. My scrapbooking day with Jennifer & Krista was only 2 days away and that is when I made this card.

I used BoBunny Chocolate Dot & Orange Citrus Dot Double Dot cardstock with BoBunny Apple Cider 6 x 6 patterned paper pad.

To embellish the card, I used wraphia from my stash.

The stamps & die cut was from W Plus Design Studio Pretty Patches: Pumpkin Stamp & Die and Apple Stamp and I stamped with Stampin' Up Cajun Craze Ink.
