TJ's 1st Birthday Title Page

Here is the title page for my son's first birthday album that I am working on.

I don't normally put photos of my children on my blog, but this photo has the title on it.

I used Doodlebug's Snips and Snails two-sided patterned paper line with Bazzill Intense Kiwi and a Bazzill Yellow cardstock.

I did a yellow zig zag stitch with my sewing machine and the banners were hand made. I also used We R Memory Keepers Yellow brads, a CTMH Blue Brad and Doodlebug Rub-ons to embellish this layout.

To make the spinner on this card, I used CTMH's Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge to cut out the circle at the 3.5 inch suggested size.

I then stamped out the spinner using CTMH's Wheel of Life and CTMH's Chantilly Scrapbooking Workshop stamp sets with CTMH's Honey, Dutch Blue & Slate ink and Stampin' Up's Daffodil Delight & Lucky Limeade ink.

No Bones About It

I love when I find another use for something in the scrapbooking world that may not be so obvious.

Like this card, I used a "Halloween" stamp set to make a birthday card. This way I get more use out of my Halloween stamp set and it made an absolutely cute & fun birthday card. I now have 3 of these in my stash.

I used CTMH's Moonlight Paper Packet with CTMH Black & Slate cardstock.

To embellish the card, I used my CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge to make the banners and my sewing machine with black thread to stitch across them.

I used CTMH's Creepy Creatures and Just a Number stamps sets with CTMH Black ink.

Friends Make Life Colorful!

I am submitting my card to the Freshly Made Sketches #70 Challenge

I finished my card after daylight last night and we have no sunshine today, so this was the best photograph I could get of my card to be able to enter it by the deadline of noon today.

The patterns on this card are not paper, but fabric.

I used CTMH's Chantilly Textiles with CTMH Cotton Candy & Buttercup cardstock.

I cut the fabric butterfly on Shanna's Cricut Machine using CTMH's Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge and Heat 'n' Bond Ultrahold that I bought from Fabricland. I outlined the butterfly with Diamond Stickles.

I used the Heat 'n' Bond on the green material as well so that I could cut it with my Stampin' Up straight cutter.

I used fabric scissors to do the zig zag cut on the pink fabric and then straight stitched with pink thread on the sewing machine.

The sentiment banner was hand cut and I also used CTMH's Pink Glitter Gems to embellish the card.

I used CTMH's Hoppy Easter stamp set with CTMH Cotton Candy Ink.

Popcorn Anyone?

I used Reminisce Lights, Camera, Action two-sided patterned paper with Bazzill Prismatic Black & White cardstock.

To make these movie popcorn containers, I used CTMH's Artiste Cricut cartridge. I used the suggested size of 4" and I was able to make two of them out of one sheet of 12 x 12 paper.

To make the labels on the popcorn containers, I used the 4" size for the black outline and 3.5" size for the white label. For the names, I used the font on the Artiste cartridge at a half inch size.

These would be great for loot bags for a movie themed birthday party.

Fun Card Holder

Here is a quick, fun & simple project I made to hold my cards.

I used My Mind's Eye Quite Contrary Little Boy Blue "Curious" Who Loves You two-sided patterned paper.

I cut it out on my Cricut Machine using the CTMH's Artiste cartridge at 6" like the book suggested. You need two sheets of paper to make this project because it is just a bit bigger than 6 inches when it cuts it out.

This is the largest size of card holder that you can make using a 12 x 12 mat. It fits a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 vertical card quite nicely and I can put 7 embellished cards in one holder without squishing them.

I saw this Sketch on Shanna's blog and when I couldn't sleep last night, I came up with this idea for my mom's birthday card.

It came together quite nicely this morning in about an hour. That includes looking for all the stamp sets that I needed for this card and the papers.

I am submitting this card to the Freshly Made Sketches - Sketch #68. The deadline is noon today, so I need to get this post done quick.

I used Little Yellow Bicycle's Splash 6 x 6 paper pad with Bazzill Twilight Dark & Prismatic Black Cardstock.

Hopefully I am right and my mom doesn't look at my blog very often because her birthday isn't until Friday.

May Every Part of Your Day Have Happy In It

Well here is another sketch challenge that I missed out on at My Favorite Things blog, but I did use up scrap paper from the previous card post to make 3 of these cards for my stash.

The only usable piece of scrap paper that I had leftover was a 2 x 3 piece of the checkered yellow and white patterned paper. I am very impressed with myself because if you saw how I used up some of the scrap paper, you would be impressed as well....my daughter was.

I used Echo Park's Grandma's Kitchen Journaling & Quilt two-sided patterned papers, Echo Park's Toy Box Jump two-sided patterned paper and Echo Park's Sweet Day Delightful two-sided patterned paper with Bazzill Frosty Yellow cardstock and Stampin' Up's Riding Hood Red cardstock.

To embellish the card, I used Making Memories Metal Index Travel Tabs, BoBunny's Precious Petals Wild Berry Blossoms, My Favorite Things Wild Cherry Buttons, Scrapbook Sally brads and twine from my stash. I also used a Marvy Circle Punch and an EK Success border punch.
